The Day I Stopped Hating My Face

"My face tells people things at times that I don’t want them to know."

Writer Robyn Addison has always been aware of her face and how others have reacted to it. When a period of introspection made her lose confidence and question her identity, her friends offered her a much more helpful reflection than the mirror.  In a challenging piece, Robyn Addison talks about her anxiety over her face and how she is learning to stop hating it, and even love it?

Robyn Addison grew up in Belper, Derbyshire and has lived in London since graduating from Cambridge University over ten years ago. She is an actor who works in television, video games, theatre and film. She is also a writer and a current member of the Bush Theatre Emerging Writers Group.
