"Momentum kicked in... like finding the biting point on a car."

The 100 voices for 100 years project introduces author Kate Jefford, who has always been ready to take the leap - as long as her friend Siobhan is there. In a heartwarming piece Kate tells us how the rush of turning a cartwheel is the purest form of joy, and how her fearless exploits as a child have made it easier to leap into the unknown as an adult.

Originally from Cardiff, Kate lives in London & Folkestone. She works in NHS & Student Mental Health services and completed an MA in Creative Writing at Birkbeck. Her short fiction is published in various print anthologies and MIR online. She’s working on her first novel with support from lots of people who know who they are.
