100 female writers share their personal stories of achievement
6th February 2018 marked the centenary of the Representation of the People Act which allowed the first women the right to the vote in the UK. We've come along way in a hundred years, but we could go further.
100 voices for 100 years is a podcast and soon-to-be book throwing the spotlight on narratives created and told by women.
The project brings together a diverse community of female identifying writers and storytellers from all backgrounds, identities, abilities and locations around the country. Each volunteered to share a story from their lives, published, one a day, over the period of 100 days. You can hear the stories on our podcast. They are as varied as the women involved in the project; funny, profound, everyday, life changing.
All of them inspiring.
The resulting collection is a unique treasure trove of thoughts on what it is like to be a woman in the UK today and we’re making a book with the publishers Unbound. Every copy you pre-order now gets us closer to publication so please consider pledging today.
